This shot has won several contests and was taken in the spring of 2011 on a ski mountaineering trip.

The first contest was put on by The Camera Store in 2012 and the second was the David Suzuki Nature Challenge in 2013. 

Snow-capped peaks provide a breath-taking backdrop to some exciting ridge walking during a springtime ski ascent of Mt. Niblock in Banff National Park.
