MEXICO: THE YUCATAN - 2011
In the fall of 2011, I began my Central America backpacking trip by flying into Cancun and then making my way across Mexico's Yucatan Penninsula, with stops in Merida, Campeche, Palenque, and San Cristobal. |

GUATEMALA - 2011 From Mexico I moved into Guatemala, which turned out to be my favorite Central American country. It was a good mix of interesting culture and the rough & tumble of a developing country. |

After visiting Mexico and Guatemala, I moved on to Honduras where I spent time on the mainland as well as venturing to Utila in the Bay of Islands for some diving. |

NICARAGUA - 2011
After visiting Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras, I went through Nicaragua, which turned out to have some of the towns I most enjoyed - Leon and Granada.
